Yesterday's exploratory route is to Ballard, Golden Gardens.  Burke Gilman Trail ends somewhere before you get to Ballard and I had to do some street riding.  There were some choppy parts through Ballard going through some of the city streets but it wasn't bad at all.  I wasn't the only bike on the street.  In fact, there were dozens of other bikers on the street with me, most of them looked like commuters.  And cars in this area I think are (hopefully) constantly aware that there are plenty of bikers on the street with them.
Today's photo during my refreshing break is of the Ballard Locks.  I had to walk my bike through the Locks but it wasn't bad because it was a pretty neat experience.  Even got to see its resident seal swimming down in the water.
